JEWELLERY CARE GUIDE
With a little regular care, your jewellery will retain its beauty for years to come. We recommend removing jewellery before swimming, exercising, gardening or cleaning, avoiding contact with perfumes, lotions and household chemicals, and storing each piece separately in its original box or a soft, fabric-lined jewellery box to help prevent scratches.
Our professional jewellery cleaning solutions are the same products we use in our workshop and are suitable for most gemstones, sterling silver, yellow gold, white gold and platinum jewellery.
Do not use either solution on jewellery containing pearls, opals, emeralds, coral, amber or turquoise.
If you are unsure whether these solutions are suitable for your jewellery, please contact us, and we will be happy to advise.
WHEN SHOULD I CLEAN MY JEWELLERY?
Jewellery worn every day: Every 1–2 weeks
Jewellery worn occasionally: Once a month, or before wearing after a long period in storage.
Regular cleaning helps remove everyday build-up from oils, lotions, soap and dirt, while preventing heavier tarnishing from developing over time.
HOW TO USE OUR CLEANING SOLUTION
1. Submerge your jewellery in the solution for approximately 30 seconds. Never leave your jewellery in the solution for longer than one minute.
2. Using the soft brush provided, gently clean textured areas of the piece, paying particular attention to the back of any stones. If your jewellery has a highly polished finish, only brush behind the stones to avoid scratching the metal.
3. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, ensuring all cleaning solution has been removed.
4. Dry completely using a soft cloth.
Repeat the process if required for particularly tarnished or dirty jewellery.
The cleaning solution only needs replacing once it becomes cloudy.
